Temple of Tai Yan located on the right bank of Chao Phraya River, Chai Nat Province, is a royal monastery built since the early of Ayutthaya period. Inside this temple is a pagoda art of U-Thong architecture and containing the Lord Buddha ‘s relics.

Chai Nat was first established during the Ayutthaya period and was used as a successful base of operations for confronting the Burmese army. As the Burmese were defeated every time, the area earned the name Chai Nat, “place of victory”.
