Top Famous Phra Leela San from Kru Tai Yan, Chainat province is one of popular Phra Kru in Thailand.

Stupa of Tai Yan located on the right bank of Chao Phraya River, Chai Nat Province, is a royal monastery built since the early of Ayutthaya period. Inside this temple is a pagoda art of U-Thong architecture and containing the Lord Buddha ‘s relics.

Chai Nat was first established during the Ayutthaya period and was used as a successful base of operations for confronting the Burmese army. As the Burmese were defeated every time, the area earned the name Chai Nat, “place of victory”.

Phra San Lai Yok is demanded by many Amulet collector because they have high blessing power of wealth and protect wearer from all dangers.

Sanburi District, Chainart has total 183 temples. It is the place of ancient Buddha Statue, Buddha Amulet and antique objects. Therefore, it is called“Muang Phra (Land of Buddhism)”). Also Sanburi is the origin of many famous Buddha Amulet, for example, Phra Leela Muang San or someone call “Phra San Yuen”.

Phra San Leela belongs to U-Thong artistic style. It was created in the early of Ayutthaya period. Phra San Leela is in the walking posture, turning face to the right. The body is pump with slim robe and the raising hand is large. Below the Buddha’s feet is two-layer lotus base. They have 2 moulds; (1) Simple Pim Leela and (2) Pim Leela Kang Med.

They were made of soil substance and metal-based substance. Soil substance have both rough and fine texture. Metal-based are silver and red rust copper. Phra San Leela were found in many Krus. The most favourite is Kru “Tai Yan”which have fine texture while Kru“Borom That Temple”have rough substance. The other Krus are Song Kom Temple, Maha That Temple, Chol Patarn Dam, Sappaya are also favourite ones.

Phra San Leela are demanded by amulet collectors because they have high blessing powers in term of bringing wearer appreciation, invincibility and protecting wearer from all dangers.
