Wat Aranyik is a historic temple in Phitsanulok province, Thailand.

Wat Aranyik was constructed during the Sukhothai Kingdom Period. Wat Aranyik was said to date back to 1357 A.D and was a monument of the Sukothai kingdom, the first major Thai kingdom in history.

On the temple grounds, there is a modern temple with a monastery and modern temple buildings. There is also a large area of ruins where the old temple of the Sukhothai period once stood. Still standing from the original temple’s construction are a historic chedi and a number of Buddha images. A unique feature of the temple is that it is surrounded by moats.

In the main stupa Wat Aranyik believed there are holy relics of the Buddha. There are so many miracle sightings that are witnessed by many people around the Wat Aranyik. Some people saw the appearance of a bunch of elephants running and missing behind the location of the stupa at night. Some others witnessed the presence of a meteor falling into the stupa.

Wat Aranyik believed to be a very holy monastry and untill now its very respected by the locals people. In the main stupa of Wat Aranyik is said there are still many treasures stored inside.

Phra Som Aranyik is one of the famous and popular Pim keep by many collector, currently very rarely found in the market now. This pim found in very limited quantities and some of its conditions are very bad.
