In fact, many local Thais venerate him as a living Arahant.(Wat Kosadaram was home to another important northeastern Buddhist monk, Luang Phor Kamhan Kosapanya. Within the compound, the Phra That Mahachai houses holy Buddha relics, the largest wooden engraved Buddha image, and the region’s most exquisite wall murals. Buddhist devotees visit the Achan Bua Temiyo Museum to view his personal items and pay his respect to ,which miraculously does not decompose though it was never chemically treated.)

Unfortunately, Luang Phor Kampan passed away peacefully on 24th November BE 2546, at 01.59hr, in his kuti. He was at the age of 88, having spent a total of 58 rain retreats.

Luang Phor Kampan was born on January 10, 2458 B.E. in a village called Nakeat in Nakhon Phanom. His father’s name is Nai Ji, his mother’s name is Nang Lang, and his surname is “Sisuwong”. Luang Phor Kampan has a younger sister. When Luang Phor Kampan was five years old, his father died and his mother remarried to Nai Xian. Luang Phor Kampan also recognized Naixian as his adoptive father. Then the mother gave birth to several children for Naixian. The foster father treats the Luang Phor Kampan brothers and sisters as if they were his own, and takes good care of them, teaching them to read and write whenever he is free.

Luang Phor Kampan has been a diligent child since he was a child. In his spare time, he helped his adoptive father take care of the fruit trees, and also helped transport the fruits to the market for sale when they were harvested. Luang Phor Kampan was very quiet since he was a child, not very talkative, and liked to read Buddhist scriptures and other books, and also listen to Buddhist scriptures. At the age of 20, like most young people, they are ready to become a monk in order to fulfill the meaning of filial piety to their parents. 1. It can show filial piety to parents and repay the kindness of upbringing; 2. You can learn a lot of Buddhist knowledge from becoming a monk, and use it to develop your career and make contributions to society after returning to the vulgar; They are all based on Buddhist thought, giving up attachment and maintaining a compassionate heart.

This time, Luang Phor Kampan had been ordained for four years. At the age of twenty-four, his adoptive father passed away, leaving a heavy burden to his mother. Luang Phor Kampan felt very sorry, and decided to return to the secular world to help his mother rehabilitate the family business. After several years of rectification, he slowly entrusted his power to his younger brothers and sisters. In fact, he missed the life of a monk very much, and decided to ask his mother again to let him return to the empty door. After his mother listened to his voice, she was very happy accepted.

On April 17, 2488. He was granted the full ordination again as a monk. When Luang Phor Kampan was 30 years old, he became a monk at Wat Pho Chai, Phra Narakhon was the ordination teacher, and got the Dharma name “Phar Kam Pam Khosapamjo” (Phar Kam Pam Khosapamjo). Since Luang Phor After Kampan became a monk, he practiced Buddhist scriptures diligently. After two years of ascetic practice, Luang Phor Kampan developed a strong interest in meditation. He finally bid farewell to the temple abbot and began his journey of ascetic discipline. Came to Ubon Ratchathani. Here he was fortunate enough to meet many famous teachers and eminent monks, especially a meditation master who gave him a lot of meditation tips.

This famous teacher is the master of LP Man – LP Shao. Since then, I have also met a disciple of Luang Phor Kinali, who is also a Zen master. After following Luang Phor Kinali for a period of time, Luang Phor Kampan’s meditation practice has improved to a higher level. Since then, Luang Phor Kampan has Say goodbye to Luang Phor Kinali and continue into the deep mountains to practice ascetic precepts. Once, he entered a big forest and was fortunate enough to meet a white-robed practitioner who lived in a cave. At that time, Luang Phor Kampan walked into the forest and happened to meet a big tiger. With the Tigers now, Luang Phor Kampan dare not go any further. When he was in a dilemma, an old man in white suddenly appeared; I saw the old man nod to the tiger, and the tiger immediately retreated into the depths of the forest.

The old man in white walked towards Luang Phor Kampan and made a kneeling salute. Luang Phor Kampan was flattered and immediately asked money to help the old man up. It turned out that the old man was the guardian of the forest. He lived on the cliff and practiced. He knew that Luang Phor Kampan was an eminent monk, so when he was in danger, as the local guardian, he must stand up and help. Therefore, the old man in white believes that Luang Phor Kampan must learn the method of calling the patron saint, which is also called “spirit calling”. The old man in white immediately imparted this rare spell, so that Luang Phor Kampan can save himself from danger when he encounters danger while practicing asceticism in the future.

After many years of asceticism and searching for famous teachers, Luang Phor Kampan’s meditative purpose has become very profound, reaching the realm of being able to know the past and the future, and even know the experiences of previous lives. Luang Phor Kampan’s previous lives were all monks , was born in the two countries of Thailand and Laos, and both were reborn in the Mekong River. This has a certain origin with Luang Phor Kampan’s life experience. For example, in one of his lifetimes, Luang Phor Kampan kept a horse when he was a monk. Every morning Luang Phor Kampan rides horses to a village a few kilometers away.

In the next life, this horse was reborn as his daughter. In this life, Luang Phor Kampan was a monk before he became a monk. Until this life, this fate is not over yet. The “daughter” of the previous life has turned into a personal attendant, who specially drives Luang Phor Kampan. His name is Nai Wen. Although Luang Phor Kampan knows this fate, but It is inconvenient to say it out. Once Luang Phor Kampan predicted with his heart that Nai Wen was in a difficult situation. It turned out that Nai Wen had to renovate his house and had to finish it before his daughter got married. Nai Wen was worrying about the cost of the decoration. When Luang Phor Kampan foresaw this, he decided to help Nai Wen through this difficult time. On the next morning, he summoned Nai Wen.

Luang Phor Kampan took out a small cloth tape from the bag and gave it to Naiwen. Naiwen opened it curiously and found a gold Phra Kring (Pharmacist Buddha). There are not many Buddha statues in this issue, and it is Luang Phor Kampan’s favorite, numbered as No. 9. But in order to help Naiwen, he had to give it to Naiwen. He told Naiwen to show it to a wealthy businessman in the state, and he believed that he would offer an ideal price. As a result, Naiwen found a wealthy businessman according to Luang Phor Kampan’s instructions. As a result, the rich businessman really offered the Buddha statue at a high price of 120,000 baht. This amount is in line with the renovation cost that Naiwen lacked. Naiwen was very moved by the assistance of Luang Phor Kampan, so he supported Luang Phor Kampan for life until Luang Phor Kampan passed away.

Luang Phor Kampan’s Zen meditation is profound and comes from practice. Every monk’s meditation skill needs to go through practice, plus the accumulated merits of previous lives. Those with merits will take a long time, while those without merits will take longer. When the practice reaches a certain level, they will have their own understanding. First of all, you will communicate with spirits, spirits and gods in the spirit world. In the spiritual world invisible to mortals, there are also believers in the spiritual world, and they will also worship Buddha and monks, just like our human world. We mortals are invisible, and only practicing monks can feel their existence. Therefore, after finishing the evening class, the monks recited the mantra of returning to them, hoping that they would be liberated, or go to reincarnation, or ascend to a better fruit position.

Once, when Luang Phor Kampan traveled asceticly to a mountain area, it was already dusk, so he hung an umbrella tent under the tree and prepared to spend the night in the mountain. Luang Phor Kampan was about to meditate, but he vaguely saw five women Believers dressed in nuns stood outside the tent. Luang Phor Kampan immediately used his Celestial Eye to see that they were all spirit bodies. After asking about the reason, it turned out that Luang Phor Kampan was to tell them about Buddhist scriptures and dedication. After the evening class, he will recite the Sutra and these invisible spirits to help them escape from reincarnation.

In addition to entering the mountains to practice asceticism, Luang Phor Kampan also chooses to stay in a relatively remote small temple during the summer festival. One year, Luang Phor Kampan stationed in a temple built on the top of the mountain and observed the summer for three months. At that time, the temple There are six monks, three old monks and three young monks including Luang Phor Kampan. This temple is four or five kilometers away from the nearest village. Every morning, they go to the village to give alms, except for the journey. In the distance, the mountain road is not smooth. Therefore, Luang Phor Kampan and the two young monks took up the heavy task of almsgiving.

Every morning, Luang Phor Kampan had to ask the other two monks to go down the mountain first, and he followed. The two monks went out through the front door, while Luang Phor Kampan went down the mountain through the back door. After an hour, the two monks asked Adze and return, put the food in an iron basin, usually only half a basin. However, after ten minutes, Luang Phor Kampan also came back, and he put the food in another iron basin, but it was full. The two monks took a look and found the food package that Luang Phor Kampan had obtained. It is more advanced and usually only available in cities. Since then, it has been rumored that Luang Phor Kampan has supernatural powers.

Once a year, Luang Phor Kampan celebrated a festival in a village on the Thai-Lao border. Most of these border areas are stationed with soldiers. Luang Phor Kampan was new to the area, and of course he was not familiar with the place. One morning, Luang Phor Kampan came to a mountain forest by using the magic power, which turned out to be the entrance of a village. Luang Phor Kampan Phor Kampan walked into a path lined with banana trees. Luang Phor Kampan walked forward slowly, about ten or twenty steps, when suddenly there was a burst of machine gun fire. After the machine gun fire, the road All the nearby banana trees were shot in a mess and collapsed all over the ground. After the soldiers opened fire, the bee servants approached the ticket counter and saw a person standing there. After a closer look, it turned out to be a monk. The soldiers were all taken aback. Because it was very early in the day, the light was still hazy. It turned out that the soldiers had received a report early in the morning that there would be enemy troops coming, so they had to be on guard 24 hours a day.

In the early morning, the soldiers heard the sound of wings in the forest and thought that the enemy had appeared, so they opened fire. At this time, they were surprised to see that the person who came was just a monk, and after the random shooting, he was injured by a gunshot. Not at all. Everyone immediately realized that Luang Phor Kampan was by no means a eloquent person, and they all knelt down to him and asked for forgiveness. Luang Phor Kampan said with a smile: “You are all devoted to your duties for the sake of the country. The so-called ignorant person is not guilty, everyone can rest assured. “. After speaking, he took out a piece of clear water from the monk’s bag, and after blessing it, sprinkled it on the soldiers. As a result, a group of soldiers became a corps with a hundred battles and a hundred victories, which also caused many soldiers in the future to worship Luang Phor Kampan is the patron saint in their minds. Therefore, the temples of Luang Phor Kampan are usually stationed by many soldiers. The amulets made by Luang Phor Kampan are also very popular with the soldiers, especially when Nakhon Pa Nong was dispatched to southern Xinjiang. Nine out of ten soldiers wear Luang Phor Kampan’s amulets or amulets or talismans.

Luang Phor Kampan often wandered around the Dragon Palace while meditating. It is said that this was told by a close disciple of Luang Phor Kampan. The monk was named Phra Pam Yo, and he learned meditation from Luang Phor Kampan when he was young. After two years, Phra Pam Yo’s meditation skills have improved greatly. During a summer festival, Phra Pam Yo curiously asked Luang Phor Kampan’s opinion on the appearance of dragons spitting beads in Nong Khai every summer festival. Luang Phor Kampan smiled and asked Phra Pam Yo: “Can you Do you believe in dragons?” Phra Pam Yo replied without thinking, “No!”. Luang Phor Kampan stood up after hearing this, stood behind Phra Pam Yo, and instructed Phra Pam Yo to enter the state of meditation. After some time, Luang Phor Kampan said, “You can open your eyes now.” Phra Pam Yo opened his eyes slowly, and was immediately so frightened that his mouth couldn’t close. What I saw in front of my eyes turned out to be a palace that was unimaginably magnificent. At this point Luang Phor Kampan said, “This is the palace of the Dragon King.”

There are many attendants dressed as human beings in the palace, but there is no sea dragon king. Luang Phor Kampan said: “The sea dragon king has gone to heaven to observe the summer festival with the Buddha, and he will come back to spit dragon balls on the day when the summer festival comes out.” Phra Pam Yo was very moved when he heard this, and felt that the universe is full of incredible things, and one must have a profound Zen meditation to explore this realm in depth. After “visiting” the Dragon Palace, Luang Phor Kampan “brought” Phra Pam Yo back to the real world. Luang Phor Kampan solemnly instructed Phra Pam Yo: “Please don’t tell others about this incident, otherwise others will think you are crazy! After experiencing this incident, Phra Pam Yo worked hard and practiced meditation methods diligently, which made him a generation of meditation masters in the future.

There are many other examples of the origin of Luang Phor Kampan’s “dragon”. Once, Luang Phor Kampan wanted to take a sampan to cross the river to Laos. At that time, there were already several sampans on board. Boats, all very politely let Luang Phor Kampan sit on the top seat.

When the small sampan reached the middle of the river, a strong wind suddenly blew up; the small sampan could not withstand the blowing of the strong wind, and was almost about to overturn. A black shadow like a “dragon” protects the small sampan. After the strong wind stopped, the black shadow gradually dissipated. Although everyone escaped unscathed, they were all frightened out of their wits. At this time, Luang Phor Kampan clasped his hands together, recited a mantra, and ordered the boatman to continue sailing as if nothing had happened. At that time, everyone woke up like a dream, knowing that it was Luang Phor Kampan who summoned the Dragon King to help relieve the crisis.

In 2494 BE, Luang Phor Kampan came to a mountain forest and planned to camp there overnight. Shortly after the umbrella tent was hoisted, a strong wind blew up. Luang Phor Kampan calmly entered the umbrella tent to practice meditation. After a while, there was a white shadow kneeling in front of its umbrella tent. Luang Phor Kampan immediately asked Bai Ying why he came; it turned out that the white shadow was a mountain god who asked Luang Phor Kampan to live on this mountain. Na Shenlong, often making troubles everywhere, no one can stop him. The mountain god learned that Luang Phor Kampan had a relationship with Boyana, so he asked Laung Phor Kampan to surrender the dragon. As a result, Luang Phor Kampan agreed to the mountain god, and after surrendering the seven-headed dragon, he led many people to move here and named it For Baan Mahachai.

Luang Phor Kampan built a stupa at the place where the dragon was surrendered, and let the dragon stay in the stupa. Later, Luang Phor Kampan developed the site into a temple and named it Wat That Maha Chai. Since then, Luang Phor Kampan has gradually reduced going out to practice precepts, monographed the development of temple affairs, and successively added facilities such as the Mahavira Hall and the Lecture Hall. After years of construction, Luang Phor Kampan has built the temple very magnificently, but at this time There was a crack in the stupa in the temple. When the news reached the ears of the ninth emperor, the ninth emperor immediately ordered the temple craftsmen to carry out the second mine construction for the stupa.

The royal craftsmen came to the pagoda, ready to measure the structure of the pagoda, but found that there were seven big snakes surrounding the pagoda and refused to leave. The royal craftsmen had no choice but to stop and inform Luang Phor Kampan. Luang Phor Kampan immediately took seven sticks of incense, recited a mantra in front of the pagoda, and planted the incense on the ground. After a while, seven big snakes crawled into the forest Yes. Luang Phor Kampan explained: “They are the incarnations of the seven-headed dragons who protect the pagoda, and they will protect this stupa forever.” After the construction is completed, it will be on duty as a guardian.

After the completion of the second reconstruction of the pagoda, the ninth emperor and queen of Thailand personally enshrined the Buddha’s relic on the pagoda on May 25, 2518 of the Buddhist calendar, and personally presided over the ceremony of enshrining the pagoda, and circled the pagoda three times for the ceremony. The key etiquette. This Buddha stupa is octagonal, 32 meters wide and 16 meters high. The whole stupa is white and gold bordered, which is very majestic. Every year on the festival of pagodas, the ninth emperor of Thailand will bestow holy products to worship the pagoda, and at the same time prepare offerings for the seven dragons and snakes. It is said that up to now the seven dragons and snakes appear ghostly on the stupas or beside the stupas every day, but everyone allows them to move without hurting them.

In the early days when Luang Phor Kampan was building the temple, a group of local residents came to live in the small village built by Luang Phor Kampan. Every night they would come to visit Luang Phor Kampan. One night, a group of people brought a patient , the patient is a middle-aged man who is seriously ill and has sought out famous doctors for a long time, but they are helpless. This is because he heard the name of “Dragon Monk” and came to seek treatment from this monk. See Luang Phor Kampan After treating the patient, he was diagnosed with blood poisoning disease, which is what modern people call blood cancer. Luang Phor Kampan said: “If you want to save him, the only way is to exchange blood!”

It is a pity that the medical equipment was backward at that time, and there was no so-called transfusion method. Luang Phor Kampan thought that this disease is really difficult to cure, unless only a miracle can be saved. So Luang Phor Kampan chanted scriptures and mantras, hoping to use the power of the dragon to heal the patient. Illness. After a while, a middle-aged Lao man who was watching at the scene suddenly had red veins on his face, his hands and fingers spread like tiger claws, and he stared at Luang Phor Kampan with his eyes wide open. Luang Phor Kampan knew it was this person at a glance Possessed by the dragon, he picked up sutra water and poured it on Luantong, the dragon, and Luantong immediately fell silent.

Then Luang Phor Kampan lifted a candle and drew a talisman on the boy’s throat. Immediately, the boy made a “hu! Hu!” sound. It turned out that Laung Phor Kampan opened his mouth for the rambunctious boys so that they could communicate with each other. Luang Phor Kampan asked why the dragon possessed the disorderly child? Shenlong said the reason, it turned out that he was summoned by Luang Phor Kampan, and he was willing to obey Luang Phor Kampan’s dispatch. So Luang Phor Kampan asked Shenlong Luantong to cure blood poisoning for middle-aged patients. Shenlong Luantong turned his head to look at the patient, and ordered everyone to prepare a glass of water.

Shenlong Luantong chanted a spell at Qingshui and told the patient to drink it. After that, a talisman was drawn on the patient’s back, and his hands were placed on the patient’s back. Shenlong Luantong suddenly inhaled vigorously, and Zhuang seemed to be working very hard. After a while, Shenlong Luangtong took Luang Phor Kampan’s sputum can and spat out a big mouthful of blue-yellow blood. Luang Phor Kampan was confused by what he was doing, how could he be able to heal people until he vomited blood? What’s going on, how can you vomit blood?” Shenlong Luantong replied: “I have sucked the blood poison from his body and spit it out through my body. Now the poisonous blood on his body has been removed. , you’re not sick!”

But after the mantra was applied, the patient lay on the bed without any movement, and everyone was anxious. After a while, Luang Phor Kampan saw that the patient hadn’t woken up yet, so he sprinkled menstrual water on the patient. He jumped into the water and immediately jumped up. After waking up, he, who was seriously ill, seemed to be a hundred times more energetic, and he was a completely different person from before. Knowing that Luang Phor Kampan and Shenlong Luantong rescued him, he immediately thanked Luang Phor Kampan and Shenlong Luantong.

Since receiving the assistance of Shenlong Luangtong, Luang Phor Kampan has successfully helped many villagers to eliminate disasters and solve problems. Shenlong Luangtong still uses the method of “sucking disease” to cure countless patients, and even encountered patients with kidney stones or gallstones, Shenlong The chaotic children also sucked correctly, and the number of stones that spit out was as few as one, and as many as ten to dozens. However, after many years, some chaotic children died of old age, and some returned to their hometowns, and the number of chaotic children became less and less. In addition, there is no suitable successor, and the holy name of the gods and dragons to save the world has stopped, which is a pity.

In the middle of 2546 B.E., Luang Phor Kampan was also old and frail. He went in and out of the hospital countless times and even took the tower plane to the hospital in Bangkok. When Luang Phor Kampan felt that his condition was getting warmer, he asked believers to take him back. Temple training. On April 11th, Luang Phor Kampan returned to Yuetamahachai. On the 16th of the same month, the nurse found that Luang Phor Kampan had a high fever and had to rub Luang Phor Kampan with cold water every hour to reduce the body’s high temperature.

After a few days, the situation became very gloomy, and the doctors were helpless. On Monday, November 24, 2546, at 1:59 a.m., Master passed away at Yuetamahachai at the age of 88. When Master passed away, there was still a peaceful smile on his face. When the believers learned that Master passed away, they all felt very sad. This kind monk who saved countless lives in his life has been silent. Although the believers are reluctant to part, they also hope Master can ascend to the lotus world forever.

It is said that in the history of Thailand, among many eminent monks, only three masters can conjure relics with bare hands! One of them is the familiar Zhou Guanluo, and Luang Phor Kampan is also one of them. In addition, the master has supernatural powers. Although he passed away in 2546 in the Buddhist calendar, Thai people also believe that the master has reached the state of Arhat and is still a believer. They bless tokens. So there are still obvious effects.
