
Luang Phor Joy who is the abbot of Wat Non Thai, Nakhon Ratchasima Province is a guru monk whom the villagers respected. Luang Phor Joy is also the disciple of Luang Phor Koon Wat Ban Rai.
Luang Phor Joy was born on 3th April BE 2482 in Chaiyaphum Province. When Luang Phor Joy was at the age of 25, he was ordained as a monk. And was given the name “Chinnawangso”.
After his ordination, he made a promise to himself that he would be a good monk and try his best to serve Buddhism. This was his intention when he built a school for monks and novice and developed Wat Non Thai as a learning centre for Buddhists. Luang Phor Joy would speak about Dharma through religious events such as Chanting, Mediation, Sermon and would helding important Buddhist days such as Vesak Puja, Magha Puja and Asalha Puja.
Luang Phor Joy always does his meditation. Luang Phor Joy is so solitary and simple that he prefers to walk barefoot and sleep on a wooden pillow that was given by his teacher Luang Phor Koon in order to keep conscious all the time. Luang Phor Joy also mentioned that he would use the wooden pillow for all his life.
During Luang Phor Joy’s first year in monkhood, he tried to bless an amulet. What he blessed was a King Rama 5 Medal. As soon as his younger brother finded out. His brother brought the medal out to his friend by firing a bullet at the medal but the bullet did not come out.
In BE 2553, Luang Phor Joy consecrated his own lockets for his devotees as there were many requests from his devotees. It was so popular and proved by the devotees for its protective power that Luang Phor Joy consecrated another 300 pieces. The first release was 112 pieces.
Long before in BE 2536, during an ceremony, Luang Phor Joy was blessing a batch of amulet using a rosary altogether. One bead of the rosary suddenly broke and the sound of the breaking could be heard. The amulets were released on 2-9 February BE 2537 and a lot of devotees came and rented the amulet. Hence the amulet was called Roon Prakam Taek which means Breaking of Rosary Bead by the devotees.
