Phra Kampaeng Soomgor is the most well-known amulet in KampaengPhet, both blessing power and Buddhistic art. Phra Kampaeng Soomgor was found in the area of Boromthat Temple, Pikul Temple, Lersi Temple and Tung Sesthi” or Millionaire Filed. The legend of Phra Kampaeng Soomgor was inscribed on the silver plate, found in the chamber of Chedi in Boromthat Temple. Thus, it can be assumed that Phra Kampaeng Soomgor is aged approximately 700 to 800 years, created in Sukothai period by Phra Maha DharmarajaLitai, the 5th king of Sukhothai Kingdom. The amulet was made when he was the ruler of Chagangrao (KampaengPhet), the frontier city of Sukothai. Three hermits, Piraral Lersi, Tafai Lersi and Tawow Lersi, were the leader of creation. Phra Kampaeng Soomgor is made from holy soil, herbs and carpel flower.
