Later, in his later years, his disciples asked him, why, Master, are you still sweeping the floor when other monks are asleep? Luang Phor Chong replied: “When the temple is clean, the heart is also clean. When you sweep the ground, you also sweep the heart. After death, you will not fall.”

With Luang Phor Chong’s reputation, there are so many disciples, but Luang Phor Chong’s monastery is still very simple, not magnificent. This is because whenever someone comes to donate to build a monastery for Luang Phor Chong, Luang Phor Chong’s request is that you can build it, but you must build those that can be demolished. Every time it is built and used for a while, Luang Phor Chung will ask people to dismantle the monk’s house, and then send it to a poorer monastery.

Some disciples felt sad because Luang Phor Chong demolished the monastery they built. Luang Phor Chong said to them: “You built it for me because you respected me. After you donated, you have already obtained the merit. The offering to the Sangha is the world’s blessing field. It doesn’t matter which one you offer. If I ask you Go build it elsewhere, I’m afraid you won’t build it. When it’s built, I’ll use it to support other monasteries, and the merit still belongs to you. You should be happy!”
