
Luang Phor Hong was born on 23rd March BE 2461 at Tungmon village, Prasart District, Surin Province. His father was Mr Boak while his mother was Mrs Auen. Both of his parents were farmers. And amongst the children in the family ,Luang Phor Hong was the oldest as he has 8 brothers and sisters.
At the age of 18, he was ordained as a novice and the monks such as Luang Phor Prae, Luang Phor Cheung and Luang Phor Gad would call him “Samanane Bromsorn” (Novice Bromsorn). By the time he reached the age of 20, he was ordained as a monk at Wat Petchaburi and was given the name “Brommapanyo”.
As a matter of fact, Luang Phor Hong had studied both theoretical, practical Dharma and magic from many guru monks. However 7 years after his ordination, he traveled to Cambodia to practice meditation and to seek peace. Afterward, he returned to Wat Petchaburi, where he was appointed as the abbot of the temple during the year BE 2516.
Despite the fact that Luang Phor Hong had already passed away on 5 March BE 2557, he remains to be known as one of the top guru monks of the present era. As he is known for his knowledge in both Dharma and Visha.
In actuality, Luang Phor Hong was a virtuous monk and performed many miracles such as bringing good luck and fortune to those who met him. He dedicated merit to people, cured patients with his wax and sacred water. His reputation as a guru monk extended as did the popularity of his amulets.
Prince Narodom of Cambodia held great respect for Luang Phor Hong. So much so that he attributed the blessings of the great monk to his success in regaining control of his country. It is said that the prince had asked Luang Phor Hong what he wanted from helping him at that time, to which Luang Phor Hong jokingly replied ”half of Cambodia”. After the victory, the prince offered half of Cambodia as promised, but Luang Phor obviously graciously declined.
Luang Phor Hong was also involved in many construction projects such as new temples, dams, schools, roads, health centers and forestry. As a result of his continuing efforts and charitable work he was awarded an insignia “Wheel of the Law” from Her Royal Highness Princess Theparatrajasuda in 1994. This was given in recognition of his services to the Buddhist religion and conservation.
Stories about Luang Phor Hong:
Luang Phor Hong’s knowledge of Visha had come from Cambodia and is widely-proven for its efficaciousness. There have been reports of miracles and beneficial experiences related to Luang Phor Hong and his sacred amulets among the locals of Surin Province, like protection from bullets and knives .
In fact, Luang Phor mentioned that his amulets were not only sacred but efficient. He said that ”you shouldn’t even dispose of the box that came with the amulet. If you want to throw it away, please give it back to me .” Also, he told his many disciplines that “if my amulets do not work, may I die one hundred times a day”. Above all, you have to observe the five basic Buddhist precepts of moral practice. If you can follow these precepts, nothing can harm you.
It was said that unusual phenomena like lightning and thunderstorms have also occurred during consecration ceremonies held by Luang Phor Hong in the past. What is most amazing is that not a single candle or incense stick was extinguished during the ceremonies, despite heavy. thunderstorms

His Kumanthong is known to bring luck and protection. A small child was being bullied and teased at school. His amulets are widely worn by border control soldiers and police who have survived many dangerous and seemingly fatal incidents. Numerous accounts exist of miraculous survival from bombs and bullets. One incident that had been reported about a bullet from a machine gun to the ignited ground before hitting the intended target. This is known to be the effect of a magic incantation known as “Puen Taek Nam”
A policeman had wanted to test the “power” of his Takrut. So he placed the Takrut on the ground and fired his pistol at it. He attempted to shoot the Takrut three times at close range, and on each occasion he was unable to hit the target, which appeared to move by itself. He visited Luang Phor Hong for an explanation, who said ” the amulet is not for trying”
Another incident was the case of a Japanese gentleman who reported a large fire that had burnt a number of terraced houses to the ground, only a single dwelling escaped the inferno. That house had a framed sacred yant of Luang Phor Hong hanging on the door.
Luang Phor Hong was born in: BE 2462 in the Buddhist calendar, and passed away in BE 2558 in the Buddhist calendar. Luang Phor Hong strictly abides by the precepts and practiced very high. one.
Luang Phor Hong, formerly known as “Shu Wen Shu Kong”, has 8 brothers and sisters in his family, and the master is the eldest son. When Luang Phor Hong was 18 years old, his mother suddenly asked the master to go to a Buddhist temple to become a monk. The feeling of being a master was very sudden. After thinking about it, he only agreed 7 days as a monk.
On the third day after Luang Phor Hong became a young monk in Qupi Tuni Buddhist Temple, the master was sitting under a tree to rest. Suddenly, a man and a woman came to the master and knelt down and asked the master to sing for them. The master was only silent after listening. , because the master didn’t know how to sing sutras at all, the man and the woman went on to say: Master, please recite the sutras of respecting the Buddha three times first.
Luang Phor Hong thought he knew how to recite, so he opened his mouth and began to recite the scriptures of worshiping the Buddha. But the master seemed to be able to sing the scriptures. After stopping, the men and women knelt down to thank the master, turned around and walked, but disappeared miraculously within a few steps.
Master Luang Phor Hong felt very strange, why did he know how to sing scriptures? He went to the Buddhist hall and asked the abbot of the Buddhist temple, the abbot only replied: This is from your previous life. Since then, the master has been very interested in Buddhism. He promised his mother to become a monk for 7 days, and now he is 20 years old. , and the abbots of the Buddhist temple: Luang Phor Prae, Luang Phor Cheung, Luang Phor Gad as Luang Phor Hong, presided over the ceremony of officially becoming a monk.
After Luang Phor Hong became an official monk, he studied various Buddhist teachings very diligently, and even learned from many eminent monks everywhere. After three years, Luang Phor Hong began to travel and practice. Whenever the master met other eminent monks during his practice, he would ask the eminent monks Asking for advice, after finishing his studies, he continued to practice in various places, until he reached Cambodia, where he had a relationship with local masters, learned the Dharma from many eminent monks with powerful mana, and learned various methods, such as liberation, healing of rare and difficult diseases, etc.
Master’s practice story:
During Luang Phor Hong’s practice in Cambodia, once he came to a place with mountains and rivers, the master sat in meditation here, from 2 o’clock in the afternoon to 2 o’clock in the morning, when the master opened his eyes, he saw a god descending from the sky, He taught the master some miraculous methods. After the teaching, the god slowly disappeared from the master’s eyes. When the master was kneeling to thank the god, a child suddenly appeared in front of the master. The child was completely black and stood still. Feeling strange, he walked up to the child, touched the child lightly, and fell backwards on the ground, then bounced up and stood up again. The master went around behind the child, touched the child lightly, and the child fell forward again, but this time After bouncing, the child turned into a giant about 5 meters high.
It turned out that the child was a fairy boy. At this time, the fairy boy taught the method of making the golden boy to Master Luang Phor Hong. After the teaching, the fairy boy disappeared. When Luang Phor Hong was alive, the method of making the golden boy was They are all made according to the method taught by this fairy boy, so the golden boy made by the master is very effective after being respectfully invited by the faithful.
Miracle Story 1:
When Luang Phor Hong was in Cambodia, he once traveled to a village called “Bangu” village, and the villagers were very kind. So when Luang Phor Hong returned to Thailand, he would return to “Bangu” village to visit the villagers/Once, The master brought his disciples to the “Bangu” village, and the disciples were very surprised, because there were thousands of people in the village to welcome the master together, until they arrived at the Buddhist temple in the village. “When the village was in the midst of war, many bombs fell from the sky, each as big as a watermelon, but the bombs did not explode, and all sank into the ground. The villagers believed that it was the holy relic of the master, so they believed in the master very much.
Miracle Story 2:
Another deed: There was a female knight-errant in Cambodia. She robbed the rich and helped the poor. She had 50 people under her command. She was powerful and could hide herself from the crowd. The Cambodian police failed to chase her many times. The police heard that Luang Phor Hong was a saint Monk, he asked the master for help, hoping to capture the female thief.
After Luang Phor Hong heard about the deeds of the female thief, he asked the police not to arrest the female thief if she promised not to commit crimes in the future.
The policeman thought: If he does not agree, he will not be able to catch the female thief. Therefore, he agreed to Luang Phor Hong’s request. Then, Luang Phor Hong followed the police to the female thief’s house and sat down to recite scriptures. Suddenly, Luang Phor Hong Hong said: Are you back? However, everyone did not see anyone. It turned out that the female thief came back from stealth. The master said: Come in. The female thief walked into the room. At that time, everyone only heard footsteps, but did not see anyone. He also heard Luang Phor Hong said, “Sit down”. Then, Master Luang Phor Hong continued to chant scriptures, at this time, everyone saw the female thief sitting in front of the master.
Seeing that her spell had been broken, the female thief wanted to draw the gun from her waist, but she heard Luang Phor Hong shouting: “Fall”, and the female thief couldn’t pull out the pistol no matter what. Luang Phor Hong said: “Admit defeat?” After the robber lost, the master taught the Dharma to the female thief. Then, the female thief accepted the Eight Precepts.
