KRUBA NOI

Phra Kru Sirisilsangvorn or generally known as Kruba Noi is a well-known monk in Chiang Mai. Kruba Noi is the son of Mr Kham and Mrs Tahkham Kongkham. He was born on 10th February BE 2494 at Sridoonmoon Village, Tambon Chmphoo, Amphur Sarapee, Chiang Mai. When he was born, his body was umbilical cord wrapped. According to legend from the Northern Part of Thailand, it is believed that he would become a Buddhist monk. When he turned 7 years old, he started schooling at Wat Sri Don Moon and learned Dharma under the guidance of Kruba Phat until he completed the highest level of primary education. Frankly speaking, his teacher Kruba Phat was in fact one of the well-known guru monks in Chiang Mai. By the year BE 2507, he first ordained as a novice monk and then 7 years later by BE 2514, he was officially ordained as a monk. Afterwards,he continued his learning of Dharma and Visha from other guru monks. On top of that, Kruba Noi follows the virtuous life of Kruba Srivichai who was depicted as the great monk of the Lanna region strictly.

Kruba Noi was born on February 10th, BE 2494. When he was born, it is said that his whole body was wrapped around the umbilical cord. It is said that there is a legend in northern Thailand, as long as the whole body is wrapped around the umbilical cord and he dies unexpectedly without the umbilical cord around the neck The boy is born to promote Buddhism.

Kruba Noi entered the temple for the first time on June 6, BE 2507, when he was 13 years old. Until May 3, BE 2514, Kruba Noi officially became a monk. So he immediately ordained ordained as a monk, named ‘Naiyi’.

After becoming a monk, Kruba Noi mainly practiced in the northern region of Thailand. The first teacher was Kruba Phat. Later, he visited many forest school masters to learn spells and the production methods of amulets, including the top masters of Lu Shi method. Luang Phor Promma, also studied Pali and the classics of the early Lanna period in Thailand. Many of the master’s ideas were influenced by Kruba Srivichai, such as: adherence to vegetarianism, enthusiasm for social development. 

Although the master is old, he is extremely industrious. He starts at 3:30 in the morning every day. After getting up, he leads the disciples and the novices to meditate and recite the scriptures. After the end, they will go to the neighborhood to ask for alms together. Guests, believers, visitors. At night, he will spend all his time chanting, meditating and teaching young monks. He will not wake up until 1:00 in the evening. 

Kruba Noi is good at warding off dangers. The talisman that he personally made has a good reputation in avoiding danger, saving his life, and being invulnerable. In addition, he is also famous for his work in the water Buddha. Now in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, Kruba Noi is also a well-known Master. He himself receives a lot of people who come to visit every day, Kruba Noi will also assist the masters of other temples to make amulets, or donate some special holy materials to facilitate other temples to make amulets.
