This Phra Khun Paen Som Kai Pa was found in the Wat Pah Taeng Stupa, Sa Bua District, Ayutthaya in 2498 B.E (1955).

Phra Khun Paen Som Kai Pa is one of the master art from the era of Ayutthaya and Pim Unik from Khun Paen. It was only found at Wat Pah Teang, known among collectors as Phra Kru “Mini Khun Paen of Ayutthya”

Khun Paen Som Kai Pa is a Buddhist image with Baipoh, made of Nuer Din (Clay) and Wahn (Holy powder) materials, some of which have Rak and a layer of gold on the surface. It is said that in the history of Ayutthaya, the King ordered the best royal artist who made Pim Som Kai Pa Khun Paen.

The Wat Pah Taeng Stupa was built at the end of the Ayutthaya Kingdom more than 300 years ago, Wat Pah Taeng is known as the Ayutthaya community as one of the very holy Stupas and has many miracles. The surrounding community is very sacred to this stupa and believes that this stupa saves many sacred relics from ancient times.

Thai people believe the blessings Phra Khun Paen Kai Pa of the Wat Pa Taeng have blessings of Kongkraphan strength (protection from danger) and provide smooth life and happiness for the wearer.
