Luang Phor Sud Wat Kalong was born on the 7th of May B.E.2445 and was ordained as a novice monk at the age of 16. LP Sud was ordained as Buddhist novice when he was 16 years old at Wat Klang in Roi Et province. When LP Sud was 20 years old was ordained as Buddhist monk in Wat Klang. After ordination, LP Sud went to study the magic around Thailand.

Later on, he was promoted and given the title “Phrakru Samut Thammasunthon”. Luang Phor Sood was reknowned for his mystical knowledge and he also created his famous “Yant Takraw” which resembles the Takraw ball which is also a favourite Thai sport.

Luang Phor Sood’s Yant Takraw was made potent by Luang Phor Sood using his knowledge of Khmer and Laos incantations and inscriptions. The Yant was created to protect the wearer from ammunitions as Luang Phor Sood did mention that when the bullet is fired, it will not penetrate the skin, flesh and bone.

Luang Phor Sud also learned from various famous guru monks, such as:

1) Luang Phor Mao Wat Klang Phanom Phrai, whom he learned from when he ordained as a novice monk at the age of 16 years old.

2) Luang Phor Roong Wat Thakrabeua, when Luang Phor Sood was the Chief Monk of District in B.E.2484, he was involved in the consecration of Luang Phor Roong’s 1st batch medal. Luang Phor Roong’s most famous disciple was Luang Pu Toh Wat Pradoochimplee.

3) Luang Phor Kong Wat Bangkraphom, whom Luang Phor Sood respects the most.

In era 2520 B.E , in thai have a famous robber name Tee Yai, well known to steal money from Rich Guy for help many poor people. He is Student of Lp Sud, Wat Kalong, Police everytime want to catch Tee Yai but he always escape from police many time. One day police catch staff of Tee Yai and the staff tell police about Tee Yai always wear Takrut and Rian of Lp Sud. The story goes on with Tee yai getting shot and was running from the police. Someone knowing that the person running was Tee yai, gave him a lift in his car and even drove pass a police roadblock without any trouble. The police caught up with Tee yai only after he misplaced the amulet given by LP Sud. Tee Yai well known as Robin hood of thailand and nowadays have Movie make for this story of Tee Yai.

Luang Phor Sud was also the preceptor of the now famous Luang Phor Maha Surasak of Wat Pradoo.

LP Sud passed away in 14 August B.E.2526 (C.E.1983) at age 81 years old but while cremation the bones of LP Sud are not burn. Therefore, LP Sud disciple decided took the bones to keep in glass coffin to people and disciples respect
