Luang Phor Khao Analayo was a senior disciple of Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta and was also a skillful meditation teacher. His layman’s name was “Khao Karatha”. He was born on 28th December, 1888 AD at the village of Ban Bo Cha Nang Nong Kaea Sub District, Amnat Charoen District, Ubon Ratchachani Province. His father (Puo) and his mother (Rod) were both farmers. When he was a kid, he studied at Wat Bo Cha Nang in his hometown until he graduated. Later in life, he got married and had seven children.

In the year 1919, he had matrimonial problems which made him decided to become a monk (bhikkhu), he then ordained at Wat Bo Cha Nang.

In 1933, he learned that there was a profound and skillful meditation teacher by name of Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta, he then headed north where he found him, thereafter, he spent many years learning from him until he mastered the art of meditation.

In the year 1945, he returned to his hometown and stayed at Wat Po Cha Nang.

In the year 1958, he stayed at Wat Tam Klong Pian, Nongbualamphu, Udon Thani until he passed away at the age of 95 years old on 16th May, 1983. Many believed he has reached the stage of “Arahantship” (Full Enlightenment)!
