Phra Kring Pawares Roon Sorng (second batch) made and consecrated in B.E.2530 (C.E.1987) at Wat Bowon Niwet. Wat Bowon is the temple where many royal princes and kings of Thailand studied and served their monkhood, including King Bhumibol and his son, the present King Vajiralongkorn. Wat Bowon is also famous for consecrating Phra Kring with a long history apart from Wat Suthat which is very famous for their Phra Kring.

Phra Kring Pawares is the rarest and perhaps most expensive Phra Kring in Thailand. The first batch Kring Phawares was made by Somdej Krom Phraya Pawares Wariyalongkorn of Wat Bowon during B.E.2417-2425. Estimated of not more than 30 pieces were specially created and presented to the royal family only. It is regarded as the King of all Phra Kring.

Wat Bowon decided to make a special batch of Phra Kring in order to commemorate Thai King Bhumipol (Rama 9) on his 60th years birthday in B.E.2530. The temple decided to take the original Phra Kring Pawares which is displayed at the museum of Wat Bowon as a copy to mould the Phra Kring Pawares Roon Sorng. A total of 25,000 sets of Phra Kring and Phra Chaiwat were made.

The preparation of this Pra Kring started more than a year earlier as it was made for a very special occasion. Lots of unusual and special materials from first grade royal temples in Thailand including remaining materials from famous Phra Kring batches were used for the makings of this Phra Kring. More than 5kg of pure gold and 108 pieces of gold mantra plates, hand written and consecrated by guru monks throughout Thailand were added too.

This is the material used to mix for the Phrakring Pawares:

1)Gold and Material left from old batches of Prakring Wat Bavorn.
2)Gold and Material left from making the buddha statue Phra Bhumiphol (Phor Por Ror).
3)Gold and Material left from making of Phrakring Mongkolborpit.
4)Gold and Material left from old Prakring of Wat Suthat.
5)Gold and Material left from Prakring created by LuangPu Toh WatPradoochimpee. 6)Gold and Material left from making Prakring Dhamasart.
7)Gold plate written with Yantra from more than 108 popular monks in Thailand.

Prakring Pawares had went throught 3 time of big consecration ceremony by Phra Somdejprayannasangvorn.

To make it more prestigious, sacred materials for the makings of Phra Somdej Chitralada which was specially made by King Bhumibol himself, and his hair, were individually inserted into each Phra Kring. The old and traditional wax-lost method was used to make this batch of Phra Kring.

Due to this making method, more than 50% of the amulets were in bad condition. They are either pitted, dented, out of proportion or partially damaged. Good and nice specimens are very rare. 3 separated major consecration ceremonies were conducted.

The first ceremony was presided by Princess Sirindhorn at Wat Bowon. The second ceremony was conducted by Somdej Phra Nyanasamvara at Wat Bowon. The final ceremony was presided by King Rama 9 himself at Wat Phra Kaew.
